Notes:

The sensitive PU in SS93 is known as the damper PU, even though the damper system it served is long gone. It has four cathode followers using EC8020 triodes. The outputs of these appear on insulated BNC sockets and are carried over coaxial cable to a chassis in the gap. At the chassis, there are coupling pieces to go from the coaxial cables to the triaxial chassis inputs. The electronics chassis contains a double set of amplifiers and control cards, and is controlled from PU box 91. See the cabling diagram for more information.

The WideBand ElectroStatic PU in SS94 was moved there from SS98 in the 2003-2004 shutdown. At the same time, its electronics have been renovated. See WBESPU for more details.

The wall current monitor in SS95 is dedicated to RF use. Two Cellflex 50 Ω 7/8" cables carry the signal to CB. See the cabling diagram for more information. There is an unused 75 Ω cable going to CB in this section.

In SS95, there are two 50 Ω cables with LEMO 50 Ω HT connectors lying unused in the gap. These were used for the nearby kicker and lead to CB. Contact: Claus Metzmacher (4424, 13+3109).

PU96 has no active electronics in the ring. A Technical Research & Manufacturing type HS172 180° hybrid attached to the side of MU95 derives radial sum and difference signals. Two pieces of RG216 take the signals to CB. No cable numbers are visible.

The kicker for transverse feedback is installed in SS97.

The PU in the pumping manifold of SS98 serves the transverse feedback system. Four CK50 cables take its signals to the damper room (355-R-017). More details on the TFPU electronics . More details about Transverse Feedback system .
